website is the product of 6 years of diligent work by A. Gene Veal,
Christian counselor. Gene, having finished the work God gave him to do here
on earth, was called home on May 1, 2005. The
contents of this website, and all resources entrusted to SingleVISION
Ministries are preserved and maintained to nourish believers hungering for the
life-giving counsel of His Word: those eager to know Him better as they learn to
be who they are in Christ. Please use these resources freely and share
them with others as the Lord leads you.
The SingleVision Approach to
Christian Counseling
The potential for STRESS in today's world is greater than ever.
Marriage and family problems will occur. Pressures and difficulties abound. It
seems that every time you turn around there is another crisis.
People are spending more for medical treatments and psychological
counseling than ever before in our history.
How does one cope with the stresses of this life?
Where does one turn?
Married
or Single - Family or Individual - we all need counseling at one time or
another.
Sometimes you just need someone to talk to who will not only
listen, but offer Spiritual, Scriptural words of comfort and direction
that bears witness with your spirit.
Conventional
Therapy is not working.
The Scriptures give Christians the answers to dealing with STRESS, WORRY, and
ANXIETY. These answers are applied
to everyday living in a very practical way through a Scriptural method we call
"SingleVISION," or ‘seeing God in all
things.’ Just believing in Jesus Christ does not automatically give a person the
singleness of vision Jesus taught. That
is why Jesus invites us, "Learn of Me." Click

Is
becoming a Christian
enough?
Why is the greater part
of the New Testament filled with instructions on how to live?
Why are Christians having the same problems with worry and anxiety as
non-Christians? When we as God's people
are influenced to think and imagine as the world thinks and imagines, we
are going to have the same kind of stress and worry that they have. We
will be going backward and not forward.
Make no mistake
about it, Jesus Christ is the answer to all our questions, but as you discover
the "questions," do you truly see how He can be the answer in your
particular circumstance? Have you
"learned of Him?" (More on Christian

Jesus
said, "My yoke is easy, My burden is light."
Can you say that living
the Christian life has been "easy?" Can you say that your "burden is light?"
If not, did Jesus lie? Could
it be that there is more for you to learn "of Him?" There
is a way to learn how His Word immediately addresses the stresses of your life
and the problems that you face.
We
call it "SingleVISION" Living.
For over 20 years, we've
been teaching Christians the answers to dealing with pressure, people and
problems of life. The Lord has used
this message to help Christians learn life-changing principles to apply in a
practical way to everyday stresses and major challenges of life as they learn
who they are in Christ.
Married
Christians Have Problems:

will not find the latest psychological theories and treatments here,
techniques to pick yourself up and build your self-esteem, or the usual
pop how-to’s to an effective marriage or Christian walk.
"There is
instead a single-minded focus on sound scriptural application tailored to
one’s individual circumstances. Unlike many conservative Christian
counselors, the judgmental matter-of-fact approach to the scriptural do’s
and don’ts is also entirely absent."

Single
Christians Have Problems:
"About
a year ago I was having some emotional troubles. It was nothing
life threatening but I felt
anxious and afraid much of the time. I am a Christian
and I knew it wasn't the way God intended for me to live my life.
"Then I heard an ad on
the radio for SingleVISION Ministries and
decided to give it a try. The
very first day Gene made me feel comfortable. He
listened to my problems and gave me advise right out of the Bible. This
was none of the psycho-babble I
had gotten from the secular therapists I had been
to. It was practical; scripture based answers to life's tough questions.

few weeks ago I saw no hope for my marriage. I did not know where to turn,
so I fell on my face before God and asked for help. A couple of days later
I received an e-mail telling me about SingleVISION's web site so I logged
on to check it out. I took the marriage test
and scored a dismal 16, which is the worse score possible. I knew
then that I needed to call and see if they could help me. They set up an
appointment with me and I hesitantly arrived for my session.
"God our Father began a great and mighty work in my life that night
and used the words of His servant , Gene. Father continues to
transform my life and marriage daily. I have hope now and I am excited
about my marriage, it has been renewed.
"I can not emphasis enough how important it has been to have a third
person, who is lead by the Spirit of God, intervene in my marriage and

A NEW CHRISTIAN
DISCOVERS HOW TO STOP FALLING BACK INTO SIN :
"It took some time for the wounds to
heal, physically and mentally, from my relapse. I returned to my church and
men’s group and my walk with the Lord. Things went well for a few months
and then I relapsed again… and again… and again. As the relapses began to
happen with more frequency I found myself always getting back up, looking to
the Lord, finding forgiveness and getting back to my Walk with Him. But I
knew there was something wrong in my Walk when I could not find the solution
to this recurring, grievous sin.
"That was when I found SingleVISION
Ministries. I had known of SingleVISION Ministries for some time before I
actually, physically met them. I had a good friend, one of the men from my
men’s group, who had been going to SingleVISION Ministries. I also had
another friend and co-worker who were being helped by them. I had actually recommended SingleVISION Ministries to my
co-worker. I was not too sure what they did but I knew
that they had very obviously and positively impacted my friend from the
group and then had subsequently impacted my co-worker. Both of their lives
had taken a deeper, more powerful direction in their walk with the Lord.
That was evident. All of this was occurring as they were both experiencing
some serious, permanent, life altering events. I was intrigued and hopeful
that maybe they could help me with my drug addiction.
"When I first went to SingleVISION
Ministries I immediately felt a Spiritual connection. Although I was a
sinner and was struggling with a very grievous sin, drugs, I was, however,
still filled with a passion for the Lord. I had known men who were warriors
for Christ but this counselor was different. I don’t mean to suggest that
he was any ‘better’ but God wired him similarly to the way I was wired by
God. His passion for the Lord was to teach, to learn and to deepen his
understanding of our Glorious Lord and Savior. That was what I was looking
for. The counselor did not judge me. He seemed to understand what was
going on. I felt an immediate relief. I knew that I was in the right
place.
"My relationship with my church and
my men’s group was a wonderful blessing from the Lord. I somehow knew,
however, that I had outgrown the men’s group. We were all growing but we
were growing in different directions. I knew upon meeting my counselor that
Single Vision Ministries was where the Lord wanted me to be. My counselor
spent some time, several weeks, getting me tuned into appropriate Scripture
that went to the root of my problem with drugs. He did not focus on the
drugs themselves. The problem was not the drugs but rather my
underestimating God. My counselor’s teaching showed me, among other things,
that there is NO CONDEMNATION in Christ. He showed me that my relapses were
what God used to bring me closer to Him. Those relapses that had been
tearing me apart suddenly took on a whole different feel. I knew God was
not blaming me for the relapses. SingleVISION Ministries showed me that
Christ lives in me and my life expressing Him in me is who I am to be, in
His sufficiency, not my own. That was the turning point.
"The relapses stopped. Being
straight is a wonderful Blessing! The blessings did not stop there. As is
the Way of our Gracious Father He used SingleVISION Ministries to speak to
me about things that I would never have heard through my men’s group or in
my church. I am not suggesting that they are not being taught in either
place but rather that SingleVISION Ministries’ approach to teaching them,
straightforward, blunt and backed by verse upon verse upon verse of
Scripture, really spoke to me. In my spirit I felt that SingleVISION
Ministries spoke the Truth. I just knew it. SingleVISION Ministries’
counseling was the way God Spoke to me about growing deeper in my
relationship with Him."
